You can report a crime anonymously by any of the following methods:

  • By text: TEXT-A-TIP anonymous crime reporting: Send your message to CRIMES (274637) and begin message with TIP708.
  • Crime Stoppers: Call (800) 531-9845
  • By phone: (910) 962-TIPS
  • Using the Crime Report Form below to report a crime you observed or suspicious activity you request University Police to review and keep your information out of it.  This for is NOT to report you being a victim of a crime and want us to investigate it on your behalf.

NC Law prohibits retaliation

North Carolina law prohibits retaliation against employees who, in good faith, report unethical activity.

N.C.G.S. § 126-84 encourages employees to report evidence of activities that include a violation of law, fraud, misappropriation of state resources, gross misuse or mismanagement of monies, or abuse of authority.
