The Human Resources Systems & Project Management team is here to help you manage your personnel responsibilities better and more efficiently by assisting you with HR Banner, standard HR reports and related data.

BANNER

Banner HR is UNCW’s Enterprise Resource Planning solution that includes human resources, payroll and position/budget management. Banner HR includes both admin pages and Banner Self-Service (Employee Dashboard). All employees have access to Employee Dashboard once a job record is posted to their account.

Request Access

Banner HR Access Requests include:

Access to Banner HR products
- EPAF, FLAC, WebTime Entry, Leave Reporting
Access to Banner HR pages
- Departmental Budget Managers, Departmental Leave Keepers, Campus Partners

Requests must be approved by the employee so that they may agree to UNCW security policies. The department head of the employee must also approve the request. After 30 days, if the request has not been approved by both the employee and the department head, the request will be canceled and a new request will need to be submitted.

Leave Keeping

Leave Keeping & Webtime Entry

UNCW utilizes Banner Self Service (Employee Dashboard) to capture time worked (WebTime Entry) and leave taken (Leave Reporting) for temporary and student employees. Supervisors and departmental leave keepers must acquire additional access in order to be able to approve leave in Employee Dashboard (see below). Leavekeeping for temporary and student employees is managed by Payroll. Please contact them with any questions:

Leave Keeping Access for Supervisors and Leave Keepers

Access includes Employee Dashboard access for both and SSRS access for Leave Keepers. Use the Banner HR Access Request Form to request leave keeping access.

Reporting & Data

Standard HR reports are located on the Ģ��ý SSRS portal. The SSRS Report Manager is a web-based interface that provides user-level access to reports. One’s individual security access predetermines which folders are shown.

How to Access an SSRS Report

To access the SSRS Web Reports portal, open a browser of your choosing and navigate to
To execute a report, click on the appropriate folder, followed by the name of the report. If a username prompt appears, then enter your reporting database credentials.
Some reports will not generate until you enter the required parameters. For example, for a report requesting a fiscal year, type the fiscal year value in the box and then click the "View Report" button. The report generates with the output displayed on your screen. Depending on the amount of data that is being processed, the report may take several minutes or just a few seconds to execute.
If desired, you can choose to export your data. To do so, simply select the appropriate format from the “Export" drop down menu.

FLAC: FACULTY LOAD AND COMPENSATION

FLAC is a Banner-delivered product that joins Banner HR and Banner Student to facilitate the capture and review of work assignments (teaching, research and service) to calculate and record job assignments.
FLAC is used to capture and pay assignments for all EHRA in Academic Affairs and all supplemental course teaching assignments for SHRA Exempt employees.

Who manages FLAC?

FLAC is managed by Academic Affairs Resource Management (AARM). For more information, visit the FLAC website. The HRIS team maintains the configuration of the FLAC module and access to the system.
