Transfer applicants may apply to enter the university at the beginning of the summer, fall, or spring term. Deadlines for each term are provided below, as well as the process for applying as a transfer student.

Application Submission Deadlines
Summer: March 1
Fall: March 1 (priority), June 1 (final)
Applications received after deadlines will be considered on a space available basis only. To qualify for admissions merit scholarships, applicants must apply by priority deadlines.
Application Completion Deadlines
Summer: April 1
Fall: June 1
All transcripts (including high school, all postsecondary institutions attended, and military if applicable) must be received by the completion deadline for the desired term. The application fee payment must also be received by the application completion deadline.
Enrollment Deposit Deadlines
Summer: May 1
Fall: May 1 (priority),July 1 (final)
The enrollment deposit is the official acceptance of the offer of admission. These represent final deadlines, but students will not be able to take next enrollment steps until the deposit is submitted. We encourage transfer students to accept their offer as soon as possible to proceed with enrollment.
Spring Entry
Transfer students can apply to enter UNCW in the spring semester. Entry in the spring term is not more competitive, but space is limited so students are encouraged to apply early and adhere to the following deadlines:

In addition to submitting your application, please ensure the following are provided:
Application Fee: A non-refundable $80 application fee is required. Fee waivers are available for qualifying students. Please contact the Office of Admissions for more information.
In-Progress Coursework: Please upload a copy of your class schedule if currently enrolled.
Exam Credits: If you have AP, CLEP, IB, or other exam credit that would qualify for transfer credit, we encourage you to submit an official copy of your score report.
Required Transcripts Applicants are responsible for requesting official transcripts to complete their application. Schools will not submit these items automatically.
College/University Transcripts: Official transcript(s) from all colleges or universities attended, including any dual enrollment coursework.
High School Transcript or Equivalent: An official high school transcript showing your final graduation date or proof of a GED/Adult High School Diploma. Note: High school transcripts are not required for students who have already earned a Bachelor's degree.

Electronically: Through your school's electronic transcript service or by email to admissions@uncw.edu. Note: Please ensure transcripts are directed to the Office of Undergraduate Admissions.

Some programs have admission requirements that differ from the University’s minimum standards and may require an additional (secondary) application.
