Art is more than aesthetics. The Department of Art and Art History cultivates aesthetic decision-making through creative problem solving, critical and analytical thinking.

Here, you will enhance your understanding of the importance of visual arts in the human experience.

Create Art While Learning its Role in History

The Department of Art and Art History offers degrees in studio art, digital arts and art history. Through a range of classes and experiences, students learn about the importance of creating art and its implications, history and potential.

Learning covers everything from ancient Roman pottery to 3D printing. Our curriculum is in a constant state of flux as we respond to what is happening in the world around us.

In our state-of-the-art learning environment, you will gain access to lecture and seminar rooms, studio facilities, computer labs and gallery and exhibition spaces.

Whether you love printmaking, photography, sculpture, painting, drawing, digital art or design, we will provide what you need to generate ideas and create solutions.
